Success Stories
At Northlake Moving and Storage, we strive to go above and beyond in everything we do. While we have many success stories, the ones that mean the most to us have a common denominator – service to others
We Are Here to Help

Fighting HunGer
Northlake Moving and Storage is committed to helping collect food in support of Move for Hunger, an organization which addresses food scarcity in the U.S. Realising that every meal counts, Northlake provided more than 25,000 meals in 2022 and will do the same in 2023. Through the years, the Northlake team has collected enough food for over 200,000 meals by encouraging customers to consider donating nonperishable items from their pantries rather than discarding items on moving day. The Northlake team then takes the donated food to local foodbanks where it can then be distributed to those in need of food.

100% Shipment Success
Doing things correctly, timely and self-sufficiently is just how Northlake rolls! Shout out to the Northlake Moving and Storage team for being named the Wiechert Move Network Supply Partner of the Year for 2021. Our team had 100% on-time pick up, 100% on-time delivery, and self-hauled 99.5 percent of our shipments.
Kudos to General Manager Seth Laigist; long-time van operators, Rodney Sheridan, Mark Safar, Candy Ducote, Rob Henson, Cory Keller, Keaaron James, and Jeff Fleming and others.

On A Mission
In October 2022 after Hurricane Ian hit southwest and central Florida, Northlake Moving and Storage hit the road with much needed food and supplies to help families who desperately needed help. Great job to Professional Van Operator Rodney Sheridan and Tidas Rushing for volunteering to make the trip with Northlake President Larry Terrell. They transported 80,000 pounds of relief items collected by New Life Ministries in Independence, Louisiana, to disaster relief efforts set up in Orlando, Fort Myers, and Bradenton.
Old Blue

Old Blue! Northlake’s first truck was about to be sent to the scrap yard, but we just couldn’t let her go. She got our company off of the ground those first few years in business. So, to preserve part of our company history, her front grill and part of her hood are on permanent display at the office to remind us that it all started with one truck, one man, and one customer. Because of Old Blue, our tagline, “Service That Moves You,” is more than a catchy phrase. It is the only reason we are still killing bugs and burning diesel. When we look at Old Blue, we are reminded of our mission statement: To provide our customers with service that moves them.

Larry Terrell,CEO“I personally want to thank the PVO’s, crew members, and rest of the team for making us the best in the business! You perform a hard job and make it look easy. You drive through every condition known to man to deliver safely and on time. That in essence is what sets you apart in this industry.
Community Service

From disaster relief to Mardi Gras food drives, Northlake Moving has been there for its community.
When hurricanes Harvey, IDA, Michael and others devastated portions of the Gulf South, Northlake Moving and Storage quickly mobilized to bring food, water, and household goods to the impacted communities. As a company, we are also focused on food scarcity in America and participate in Move for Hunger, an organization we passionately support.
